A fierce sun burns through a mass of dark, swirling clouds, sending rays of golden light streaming outward in every direction like spokes of a wheel. Below, the sea and distant hills are bathed in warm amber. The image is vertical, intimate, and entirely sky - a meditation on the power of light - and the ecstatic  beauty of the Mediterranean landscape at its most dramatic.
